Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrating in Rome

St. Patrick’s Day is a celebration of Irish culture that is observed in countries in all over the world, and Italy is no exception to the rule. While I didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day in Rome, two of my favorite bloggers have some great insight as to how you can spend the day if you find yourself in Rome on March 17th.

As it turns out, the Colosseum goes green on St. Patrick’s Day! Natalie Kennedy was there last year, and she got some awesome photos of the event that I definitely recommend you check out.

After you check out the Colosseum, Natalie’s husband Jimmy (an Irishman himself) has some great advice as to where to find some of Rome’s best Irish pubs. Scholars in particular was one of our favorite drinking spots when we were abroad. Check out some of Jimmy’s other recommendations for where you can grab a pint.

Buona festa di San Patrizio!
